Do you enjoy stocks, options, trading, investments, finances, maybe a little gambling, or all of the above? Then come tag along for the ride!

My name is Josh Rossenbach. My wife and I live near Seattle, Washington. We have a young son and a massive dog (an Alaskan Malamute who sheds non-stop).
We love Jesus Christ as our savior, and do our best to put Him first in every aspect of the lives with which He has blessed us.
Both my wife and I grew up in Phoenix, Arizona. We married in 2012 and have been loving life in the Pacific Northwest ever since. Professionally, I work in Information Technology for a large accounting firm.
Let me say right off the bat that I am a strong believer in Warren Buffett’s adage that if the majority of money managers can’t beat the market over the long run, then why not just bet with the market.
Among the various propositions offered to you, if you invested in a very low-cost index fund — where you don’t put the money in at one time, but average in over 10 years — you’ll do better than 90% of people who start investing at the same time.

For my wife and I, this means that retirements funds, college savings accounts, etc. are predominantly structured in dollar cost averaged, low-fee, index funds. We also have a mix of total market, international, and target date funds, and even a small bit of money in bonds, for good measure.
I’ve enjoyed dabbling with investments over the past few years, and decided to start this site as a way for me to track my journey with investments that are a little more interesting then dollar cost averaging into an index fund.
This is my journey with investing my fun money! Come along!
And feel free to chime in with any help you want to offer along the way.
I’m sure I could use it!
